Pick two mice — a third if you want — and this tool lays their top-down outlines over each other on one shared millimetre grid, then works out the signed deltas for you.
Be clear about what you are looking at: the silhouettes are proportional reconstructions generated from each mouse's published length, width and shape class by the same set of rules. They are not scans, photographs or CAD traces. The numbers in the tables are the manufacturers' own, and anything we cannot source — click latency, grip width — is left blank rather than filled with a guess.

Grip-style fit
A shape-fit heuristic computed from the published length, height and weight plus our reading of where the hump sits. It is arithmetic on public numbers, not a panel of testers — gaps under 4 points are noise and we say so.
Palm grip
Viper V3 ProRewards a long, tall shell with the peak set back, so the arch fills the base of the hand.
Claw grip
Viper V3 ProRewards a mid-length shell with a centred hump and a weight the fingers can still snap around.

Method
How this overlay works, and what it is not
The silhouettes are generated, not scanned
Each outline is drawn by one parametric function from the mouse's published length, width, shape class and our hump reading. Every mouse goes through the same rules, so the overlay is an honest proportional comparison — not a 3D scan, a CAD trace or a photograph. Treat it as a scale diagram, not a template.
The numbers are the manufacturer's
Length, width, height, weight, sensor, switches, polling ceiling, battery claim and list price come from the vendor's own spec sheet, or from a major retailer's spec table where the vendor publishes no dimensions. Nothing in the table is measured by us.
What we deliberately leave blank
Click latency is empty for every mouse: we have no measurement rig, and no vendor publishes a figure in milliseconds. Grip width is empty too — the width where your fingers actually sit is not a published spec, and we won't estimate it. Empty means empty, not zero.
What is arithmetic, and what is a judgement
Polling interval is arithmetic (1 ÷ polling rate) and is not a latency measurement. Hump position is our editorial reading on a shared 0–1 scale. Grip-fit scores are computed from the published dimensions by a fixed formula — a geometry heuristic, not a survey, and gaps under 4 points mean nothing.

Prices are the manufacturer's or a major retailer's list price at the time of writing and are not live. Battery figures are “up to” claims at 1000 Hz; expect a fraction of them at 4–8 kHz. Where a polling ceiling needs a separately sold dongle or a firmware update, the matrix says so.
Editorial verdict
What an overlay can settle, and what it can't
Shape arguments online usually collapse because everyone is comparing remembered feelings. Put two outlines on the same grid and most of the argument evaporates in about four seconds: the Viper V3 Pro really is roughly two millimetres longer than the Superlight 2 and roughly six grams lighter, the EC2-CW really does carry its width further back than anything symmetrical, and the gap between a 119 mm Maya and a 128 mm DeathAdder is not a matter of taste.
What the overlay cannot do is tell you how a shell feels. Top-down area says nothing about how steeply the sides taper under your thumb, how sharp the rear flare is, or whether the coating grips when your hands are warm. Two mice with near-identical footprints can sit completely differently in the hand, which is exactly why we publish the hump position as an editorial reading and the grip-fit meters as a computed heuristic rather than dressing either up as data.
Use it the way a size chart gets used. Start from the mouse you already own, overlay the one you are curious about, and read the deltas: if the shape you like is 125 mm long with a centred hump, a 128 mm shell with the peak set 8% further back is a different mouse, whatever the marketing says. Then go and put your hand on one.
